THEORICAL PART

All the theory we are going to see here is the basic knowledge youŽll need to start creating comics.

In comic creation we can basically divide the work into: writing work (writing a script), drawing work (drawing the characters etc.) and let's call it "mix work" (it is, divide the story into diferent pages and vignettes, and placing the text boxes, I mean to plot it all. This part of the work is highly recomended to be done by all the members in the group).

I have divided the lessons into these 3 principal subjects (each in one colour) so you can easily find what youŽre looking for. Here is the index of lessons we are going ot cover during the first term. We will start with the basics and iŽll be updating information during the course. As for the second term i suggest you all to tell me what youŽd like to learn, so i can make up new and interesting lessons for you. IŽll be accepting submissions till december, so please, post any ideas about lessons in the class forum.

This index shows the basic guidelines of the first term. We will start from the basics and continue adding more information, so while the year goes on youŽll have more "clickable" links to the lessons.

Remember that you donŽt have to study all this theory from the start to the end. All this is just a resource of information for you, so you can just come back to consult it when you have any doubt.. . Since we are in a most practical class you donŽt have to pass a theory test. I, however, will ask you to put it into effect in the projects you will do during the year.

ThatŽs for now. Wellcome you all to the workshop, aaaaaaand enjoy it !!

DRAWING LESSONS

Here we will be covering the basics of character desing and drawing. So, once we have the script ready and all the sheets plotted (text and all) itŽs time to start working with the pencil. Figure out where you want your text to go so you leave enough room for it, this way you don't have to apretarlo, if it doesn't fit. If you're really worried, place a sheet of lined paper under your drawing so you can keeping writing from slantly and have it spaced nicely.

Refering to backgrounds, they are usually important but you can draw then before or after drawing the character, you choose.

The index is at the left of the page, you can pick the thing you want to see or either see the character desing step by step. Tofollow my class step by step just follow the links in this colour.
